Republicans Sure Tried to Represent Women

The Republicans sure tried their hardest to demonstrate they were a new party.  I don’t know who runs the cameras at these conventions. Is it the parties or the networks?  Either way, I think every woman and every black person in the audience got a close up.  To boot, as I watched the roll call out of the corner of my eye, nearly every delegation was fronted by a woman.

It seemed a bit over the top to me, but at least the Republicans are putting it out there.  We’ll see if it’s effective.

Has the world gone crazy? We now have a Democrat Presidential Nominee spouting pull-yourself-up-by-your-boot-straps conservative rhetoric, and on the other side we have the Republicans defending teenage pregnancies, cheering the notion of a working mom, and claiming they are pro-women’s rights. What is going on here? In the new world of diversity politics has the trick become to convince the other guy you’re him or her as the case may be?
